Cam's birthday was on the 30th of January.
I'm finally blogging about it.
He's really not neglected, I promise. Just in bloglandia.
We've been a little bit busy lately. Cameron goes to school and work. I go to school and work on Saturdays.
We don't see each other much during the week.
This year, he turned the big 24 and I told him he was getting old, which isn't true.
He's only becoming more and more distinguished as his hair turns gray... [It's really not that gray at all. He has like 5 gray hairs that I tease him about and then he reminds me that they're there because of me. True.]
He had to work on his birthday but thankfully his wonderful manager let him leave early so we could have dinner together and not do too much homework.
Once he got home, we made dinner and opened presents.
I let him have his big present a couple of weeks early so that he could go shooting with a friend of his.
I finally gave in and let him buy a Henry rifle. He's been doing his research for months and months, trying to decide what he wanted. He's also been begging and dropping not-so-subtle hints.
We drove all the way to Tooele one night after school to pick it up because it was the only one he could find in the state that was for sale. [road trip!]
It is really cool and a very pretty gun but I honestly never thought that we would own a gun. Now we do.
And he loves it :)
That night, also went and bought a chocolate pie.
This boy LOVES chocolate pie. More than cake, cookies, and ice cream combined.
Rootbeer floats are a close second.
As I sang "happy birthday" to him before we ate pie, I was reminded once again how lucky I am to have this man in my life.
He is smart. He is kind. He is gentle. He is enthusiastic. He is loving. He is generous. He is helpful. He is sweet.
He is mine.
There is no one else I would rather spend forever with.
I love you, Cameron!
happy birthday :)
